Full Day Excursion of Nairobi National Park with David Sheldrick, Giraffe Center, Bomas of Kenya and Carnivore Restaurant
Check in early in early in the morning into the only wildlife park in the capital of a country, Nairobi National Park! It boasts as a thoroughly rewarding game drive and safari. The park has the big four of Lion, Rhino, Leopard and Buffalo alongside Wildbeest, Africa’s biggest antelope; the Eland, majestic Giraffes, Hippos, Crocodiles, Ostriches, Warthogs, Hyenas, Cheetahs, Baboons, Impala, Topi, Zebra, DikDik and Hartebeest.
A stop over at the Ivory burning site gives you a glimpse into the ever continuing battle between conservation and poaching and the triumphs that have been recorded so far.
Several picnic sites exist in the park that allows to get a health break, grab a snack or picnic meal, host a cocktail in the wild or enjoy the beauty of mother nature.
Check out in the mid-morning and proceed to David Sheldrick Elephant Trust, you get to get really up close to the baby Elephants under the care of the trust, and appreciate the work they do in saving the lives of the orphaned or abandoned baby Elephants.
After this you visit the Giraffe Center, the affectionate giants are ready to give you a welcome-to-Africa kiss, just make sure you feed them. The center provides you with the pebbles to feed them, so you don’t have to hit the shops looking for the ‘’Wild animals Food’’ section.
You have a stopover at any of the nearby food outlets or malls for lunch.
Check in at the Bomas of Kenya. This is a one stop center for a display into the cultures of Kenya including models of their traditional homes and display of their cultural paraphernalia. The cultural dances picking from all over Kenya at 4:00pm are not to be missed.
You are ready for your Carnivore experience. At the Carnivore restaurant you get to sample a great variety of sumptuous grills, pan fried and flame grilled meats, salads and variety of starches as you enjoy the cool ambience of this classic Tamarind group property. It is a bottomless, eat-all-the-meat-you-can situation. Ostrich, Crocodile and Camel meat is part of the menu. They come accompanied by different sauces and Kenyan coffee is included too.
After dinner you will then be dropped back to your hotel/home.
