Karen Blixen Museum
Karen Blixen is your inspiration to paint the canvas of the rich colonial history of Kenya. As the farm house of the huge coffee farm run by Out of Africa’s author, Karen Blixen, it carries with it the history of the colonial days, taking you all the way back to its construction in 1912. With several subsequent owners, the Out of Africa book and movie by the same name swung it to fame. Later acquired by the Swedish government before it was handed over to the Kenyan government and consequently the National Museums of Kenya as an important heritage site.
The book and movies “Out of Africa” are available at the Museum.
After this you are dropped at your hotel.
