Nairobi National Museum and Snake Park
The Museum located a mere 10minutes walk from the Nairobi city Centre, showcases what you can expect with the culture and nature of Kenya. It also takes you through Kenya’s history, more significantly as it relates to pre and post-colonial periods. Visitors with interest in birds get fascinated by the collection here. Many of the other animals you would see in the parks and reserves of Kenya are on display too.
The display definitely does feature a wide collection of cultural artefacts. There is a gift shop and restaurant within. At the entrance you find Ahmed, the famed Elephant of the North of Kenya that had 24 hours’ presidential protection.
Within the museum is the snake park.
Spending about 4 hours here is a good minimum length of time for the experience. It is no oddity though to find yourself spending twice the time.
